Logansport Savings Bank Proudly Supports Local Veterans
Supporting the men and women who have served our country is an important part of being a community bank, and Logansport Savings Bank is proud to continue finding ways to support local veterans throughout the Logansport community.
This year, Logansport Savings Bank is supporting local veterans through both community partnerships and direct participation in events designed to connect veterans with valuable resources and recognize their service.
The bank recently participated in the 5th Annual Veterans Resource Fair, hosted by AMVETS 82621 at the Logansport National Guard Armory on Wednesday, September 9. The free event brought veterans together with local organizations and service providers offering resources related to veterans’ services, mental health, home health, financial services, real estate, insurance, employment, assisted living and funeral planning. Veterans were also provided with a free lunch and haircuts.
Representing Logansport Savings Bank at the resource fair were Anh Glassburn, Marketing Manager; Rachel Rogers, Compliance Officer; Alix Titus, Universal Banker; Amy Dillman, BSA Officer and Fraud Awareness representative; Zeke Alvarez, Business Development Banker and Alexander Osorio-Montero, Logansport High School Intern.
The bank’s team provided information about banking services and fraud awareness, while also providing water and snacks to attendees.
Logansport Savings Bank is also proud to serve as the corporate sponsor of Horney Creek Fest, Inc.’s Veteran Banner Project and Festival. The Veteran Banner Project provides an opportunity for the community to honor local veterans by placing their names and service on banners throughout downtown Logansport.
Through its sponsorship, the bank is funding the first five veteran banners that will be displayed on light poles throughout downtown Logansport in Spring 2027. The first five banners will be revealed during a Veteran Banner Reveal Party on Friday, September 11 from 5:30pm at the Science Project Brewing Company.
The names of the first five banners include Jeffrey W. Duncan, Command Sargeant Major U.S. Army; Travis Yike, Sergeant U.S. Army; Kimberly Pearson, Petty Officer 3rd Class U.S. Navy; William Mohler, Sergeant U.S. Army and Tamara Derrick, Master Sergeant U.S. Air Force.
The partnership also includes support for Horney Creek Fest’s Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival, scheduled for Saturday, September 19, at 611 North Street in Logansport. The festival will salute veterans with drink tasting, live music and a veteran certificate presentation, with proceeds supporting future rounds of the Veteran Banner Project.
Horney Creek Fest, Inc. is named after Judge James Horney, a 19th-century Logansport resident and prominent figure in the community.
