Logansport Savings Bank announces Free Community Concert Honoring America250

Logansport Savings Bank is proud to announce the presentation of a special community concert in honor of the nationwide America 250 celebration, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This free, community-wide concert event held at McHale Performing Arts Center will feature the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra of Lafayette, Indiana, and is open to all residents of Cass County.

Thanks to Logansport Savings Bank’s premier sponsorship, the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra will present “Freedom Rings: A Patriotic Symphony Concert for America 250” for the Cass County community on the evening of Friday, July 3, 2026, as a special kickoff to the weekend full of local Independence Day festivities.

The concert will showcase a series of patriotic medleys and well-known American musical selections, offering an inspiring tribute to the nation’s history, ideals, and enduring spirit. As America marks this once-in-a-lifetime milestone, the event is designed to inspire community pride and appeal to all ages through music, reflection, and celebration.

“This concert is a meaningful way for our community to come together and honor the story of our nation,” said Barrie McClain, a member of the Cass County America 250 planning committee. “Hosting the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra for such a historic occasion reflects the pride we share in our country and the value we place on creating experiences that unite generations. This will be a truly memorable celebration for our community.”

Logansport Savings Bank President and CEO Chad Higgins said the decision to serve as the presenting sponsor was deeply rooted in the bank’s commitment to history, legacy, and community investment.

“As a community bank that proudly celebrated our own 100th anniversary just last year, we understand the importance of honoring the past while continuing to build toward the future,” said Chad. “The America 250 celebration is a powerful reminder of the legacy that history preserves and the responsibility we all share to carry that legacy forward. We were honored to help make this concert possible so our community can come together to celebrate 250 years of freedom, progress, and opportunity.”

In addition to Logansport Savings Bank’s premier sponsorship, the event is also sponsored by WSP and D&R Fruit Market. Event donors include Steinberger Construction, Inc., Todd and Gretchen Miller, and Mike and Sally Stajduhar. The Cass County America 250 planning committee is grateful for this community support that helps enhance the overall celebration.

Additional details regarding start time of the event and other related Fourth of July activities will be announced closer to the event date. Concert updates can be found on the Cass County America 250, Indiana Facebook page or on the Logansport Savings Bank Facebook page
